StudentVIP Alerts are student-related and worthwhile offers sent by email to StudentVIP members.
This is what keeps all the services here 100% free.
They are designed to ensure you are "first to know" about student related opportunities. Support the site by opening and clicking on our (maximum) one email alert per week.
We send the email, so your details are never provided to the sponsoring organisation.
In the last year you could have....
- been invited to a free preview screening of "Borat"
- learnt about work experience in Vietnam
- entered a global Lonely Planet video competition
- been invited to sail around Australia on a tall ship
- been offered $70 an hour for research work talking about the internet
- Won tickets to The Big Day Out thanks to rockenrol.com.au
Don't mark Alerts as "junk".
Instead, unsubscribe at anytime. It's a package deal -if you don't want the emails -then don't use the free services that they support.
Marking a StudentVIP email as "junk" disables textbookexchange and other emails for you and (worse) other users.
When you mark an email as "junk" your email provider (hotmail, yahoo, gmail, bigpond etc) automatically notifies the sender you have done this. Because you are destroying the usability of the site for other users, you will automatically banned from StudentVIP for life. And please don't then email next semester asking us why your login doesn't work. (You would be amazed how many people do...)
